RAM HOLDINGS BERHAD
League Table Criteria

RAM’s league tables are based upon a set of consistent criteria, transaction classifications and eligibility rules as well as methodology.

RAM’S LEAGUE TABLES:
List lead managers by the value and number of deals for all RAM Ratings-rated bonds.

All tables are on year-to-date (i.e. from 1 January to 31 December), and updated on a quarterly basis.

RAM’s league tables comprise the following:
Lead Managers’ League Table – By Issue Value
Lead Managers’ League Table – By Number of Issues
Lead Managers’ League Table for Sukuk Issues – By Issue Value
Lead Managers’ League Table for Sukuk Issues – By Number of Issues

TRANSACTION ELIGIBILITY:
Debt issues/obligations must be RAM Ratings-rated.

Only transactions with lead managers (or bookrunners or lead arrangers, as the case may be) are eligible for ranking.

RANKING METHODOLOGY:
League tables for lead managers vis-à-vis bond issues will give credit to Lead Managers. In the absence of lead managers, credit will be given to the bookrunners. In the absence of both lead managers and bookrunners, credit will be given to the lead arrangers.

Proceeds are expressed in Malaysian ringgit (or RM). Non-ringgit-denominated issues will be converted to RM at the time of issue.

Credit will be given to the entire debt programme once regardless of the type of instrument, provided always that the debt has been issued in that year, either in full or in part.

In the case of synthetic transactions, only the rated portion (funded portion) of the programme will be given credit.

In the case of syndicated deals:

For lead managers’ league tables by value, credit will be equally apportioned among the joint lead managers (or the joint bookrunners or joint lead arrangers, as the case may be) named in the Principal Terms and Conditions (PTC) of the issue.

For lead managers’ league tables by number of deals, the deal will be treated as one issue and will be credited as such for each of the joint lead managers (or the joint bookrunners or joint lead arrangers, as the case may be).

For counting purposes, all tranches of a deal will be consolidated as a single issue.

The year-end Lead Managers’ Table will be subject to an audit at year-end, based on the full and final listing of transactions done for the year.

NB: RAM Ratings reserves the right to exercise full discretion over the league table eligibility of all individual bond issues. This right will be exercised where necessary to safeguard the integrity of league tables.
