Alastair Day is a finance professional with extensive experience of finance and leasing. Alastair was previously a director of a start-up leasing company, which was later sold to a public company.

Later, Alastair established Systematic Finance plc as an independent consultancy and lessor where he conducts consulting and contracting assignments on financial modelling. Past projects have included aircraft leasing, investment, valuation and project finance models. At Euromoney, Alastair designs and delivers courses covering financial modelling, credit analysis and equipment leasing.

He is author of Mastering Financial Modelling, Mastering Risk Modelling and Mastering Financial Mathematics in Excel published by the Financial Times, and other risk, credit and leasing publications.

Alastair has a degree in German and Economics from London University and an MBA from the Open University Business School. Academic work has included positions at the OUBS on the MBA programme and at the Institute of Financial Services.
