RAM Ratings reaffirms LECA1 rating for Brighton Management Limited

RAM Ratings has reaffirmed the “LECA1” rating for Brighton Management Limited (BML or the Company), a licensed insurance manager and underwriting manager in Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC). The rating indicates excellent capacity and competence in fulfilling performance obligations.

The rating reaffirmation considers BML’s continued ability to maintain its established franchise, as well as favourable assessments for staffing, management and financial standing. Business infrastructure and risk management practices remain adequate to support service offerings.  

BML provides management services to Labuan IBFC insurance sector licensees to support compliance with regulatory requirements. It continues to command the largest market share (44%) of the sector’s licensees, having rendered services for 2 decades.

Service delivery is supported by healthy staffing levels, as well as business infrastructure and risk controls that are proportionate to service requirements. The Company has a staff count of 81 and utilises a mix of in-house tools and standard business applications. 

BML is led by an experienced management team with at least two decades of experience in the finance, insurance and/or audit fields. It is profitable, with liquidity reserves adequate to support ongoing operations. 

LECA is an assessment service from RAM Rating Services Berhad for companies based in Labuan IBFC. LECA ratings are typically valid for up to 1 year after they are assigned. The rating could be updated or changed upon the availability of material information, or in the event of material developments or changes in circumstances.
